Once upon a time in a small public library, lived a plumpie mousie and her daughter...

That one never stopped crying, moaning, complaining...She felt bored all the time...

The only thing she would say was: "There's nothing new around here, everything is so monotonous and dull and sad"...So, everybody nicknamed her "NOTHING NEW"

How strange, Plumpiemousie was such a lively person, so cheerful...

She didn't know what to do to help her daughter.

"I've got and idea" the neighbor said, "why don't you call Mereabeille ?"

a long long time ago a young lady inherited a book-shop...she got it from her uncle...the poor man had passed away some months ago, after spending his whole life reading books and tales and stories and biographies and and....a real book-nut...

his life was beautiful, working with the love of his life : books...but he had a problem, every night at a certain hour a small dwarf came in his shop and spent the night messing books around...

the girl waited for the little man and watched him, trying to take one book after the other and grumbling in his beard...

the following day she had an idea...at night she took out her uncle's monocole and put it on the desk...

the little man was very surprised, he came near and suddenly realized it was a magnifying glass !!! he could see! he could read ! hurrah !!!

and that was it, he came every night, spent time reading, had his cuppa at midnight, but not longer messed the shop...

and that was it...my story is finished, no, it's just beginning...

There was once a prince, and he wanted a princess, but then she must be a real Princess. He travelled right around the world to find one, but there was always something wrong. There were plenty of princesses, but whether they were real princesses he had great difficulty in discovering; there was always soming which was not quite right about them. So at last he had come home again, and he was very sad because he wanted a real princess so badly.

One evening there was a terrible storm; it thundered and lightninged and the rain poured down in torrents; indeed it was a fearful night.

In the middle of the storm somebody knocked at the town gate, and the old King himself sent to open it.

It was a princess who stood outside, but she was in a terrible state from the rain and the storm. The water streamed out of her hair and her clothes; it ran in at the top of her shoes and out at the heel, but she said that she was a real princess.

‘Well we shall soon see if that is true,’ thought the old Queen, but she said nothing.

She went into the bedroom, took all the bed clothes off and laid a pea on the bedstead: then she took twenty mattresses and piled them on top of the pea, and then twenty feather beds on top of the mattresses. This was where the princess was to sleep that night. In the morning they asked her how she slept...

‘Oh terribly bad!’ said the princess. ‘I have hardly closed my eyes the whole night! Heaven knows what was in the bed. I seemed to be lying upon some hard thing, and my whole body is black and blue this morning. It is terrible!’

They saw at once that she must be a real princess when she had felt the pea through twenty mattresses and twenty feather beds. Nobody but a real princess could have such a delicate skin.

So the prince took her to be his wife, for now he was sure that he had found a real princess.

they got married and went on a long honeymoon, with the Prince's bicycle, and they got happy all life long and had plenty lovely children...

Now this is a true story.

Derrière la caravane de Mamie Paisible, tout au bout de l'Impasse aux Souris, il y a un champ d'orge. La moisson est finie et on voit mieux le petit arbre...Le pauvre, il a perdu sa tête cet hiver..."la faute à la tempête" comme dit Yvonnick en rigolant ! Il est bête ce garçon ! (comme tous les garçons d'ailleurs!!!)

Yvonnick et les noisettes

Yvonnick le souriceau et sa maman, habitent une jolie caravane installée en forêt de Coat -Noz . C'est un mot breton qui signifie le bois de la nuit. Quant à Yvonnick, en français c'est petit Yves. En ce moment la maman est en vacances et garde les enfants. Le papa aura ses congés payés plus tard, on ne fait pas toujours ce qu'on veut. Il y a d'autres enfants, mais je n'ai pas le temps de vous parler de tout le monde, ce sera pour une autre fois...Voilà c'est dit, l'histoire peut commencer...

Un beau jour Maman et Yvonnick décident de refaire la décoration de la caravane. Le résultat est magnifique, un peu de gribouillis et de fautes mais cela met de la couleur!

-mamie, t'as pas montrer derrière la porte et la fenêtre, Yvonnick a même mis de la peinture sur le nez de sa maman !!!!!!!!

-Oui, mais je ne peux pas tout montrer, il faut qu'il reste une tite surprise !!! allez, je continue...et restez bien sous la couette.

Yvonnick cherche, cherche mais ne trouve rien du tout !!! Zut alors ! Il est tard maintenant, onze heures du soir . Maman va surement s'inquiéter ! Même le soleil est couché sous sa couette, Yvonnick n'ose pas le déranger...L'écureuil dort tellement bien lui aussi, qu'on ne voit plus que sa queue en panache...

Morale de l'histoire:
ça ne sert à rien de chercher des noisettes au début de l'été , elles ne sont pas encore mûres, mais les cadeaux font toujours plaisir aux mamans...

S'il est jaune et rouge, n'ayez pas peur, ceux là sont copains avec les souris...

Rémy est prêt à tout pour vivre sa passion de la cuisine… et le fait d’habiter dans les égouts du restaurant ultra coté de la star des fourneaux, Auguste Gusteau, va lui en donner l’occasion ! Malgré le danger et les pièges, la tentation est grande de s’aventurer dans cet univers interdit.Ecartelé entre son rêve et sa condition, Rémy va découvrir le vrai sens de l’aventure, de l’amitié, de la famille… et comprendre qu’il doit trouver le courage d’être ce qu’il est : un rat qui veut être un grand chef…

C'est un travail des extraordinaires conteurs de Pixar Animation Studios ...il y a du rythme, de belles images et une vraie histoire...
Ils sont allés dans différents grands restaurants et ont fait plusieurs visites guidées de la ville. Ils ont dîné au Procope, à la Tour d’Argent, chez Hélène Darroze, chez Taillevent et Chez Michel. Ils ont bien sur visité Notre-Dame de Paris, le Grand Palais, le musée d’Orsay, se sont promenés sur les quais de Seine et ont admiré la vue de Paris depuis la Tour Eiffel et le toit de La Samaritaine. Ils ont visité les égouts de Paris, ont parcouru la ville à moto, et ont fait la promenade en bateau sur le Canal Saint Martin et ouvert les portes des restaurants de Guy Savoy et Cyril Lignac.
Il faut entendre le chef Guy Savoy parler du film...Il est fier comme ...un Chef...

Vous vous souvenez des sandwiches préparés en Octobre, en voici d'autres...On les trouve sur un livre très sympa publié chez Jérome Villette...Eh oui, les livres des Editions dites professionnelles peuvent parfois être lus par tous, y compris les gourmands, petits et grands...

Chocolate Rabbit

I got a chocolate rabbit
For an Easter treat,

c'est une très belle histoire, fort utile, racontée par une grande dame...et Gigi Bigot sait ce que conter veut dire...il ne faut pas avoir peur de certains mots, les papis et les mamies ont aussi leurs disputes...mais ils savent se réconcilier...et trouver des mots doux après les mots "durs comme la pierre"...à lire sur les genoux...(à partir de deux ans... au moins)
